Resumo:
Here in Brazilian schools, Geography teaching kept a traditionalist practice in elementary
and a high schools. But, we must remember to the sectors’changes of the educational field
Geography, which proposes the formation of an active subject in the construction of
knowledge and committed to the transformation of sociospatial
reality. So, the
geography lessons need to encourage the emergence of a new look at this curricular
component and its role in the formation of the subject. We used as the basis authors of
geography teaching area, namely: OLIVEIRA (2008), STRAFORINI (2008), Cavalcanti
(2002), Kimura (2008), LIRA, (2014), among others. In this perspective, this study had
to reflect the teaching practice in Geography teachers of state schools in the city of
ItabaianaPB.
It’s necessary to facilitate the realization of this research, considering the
theoretical and practical aspects, we chose the following: a) sources of survey on the topic
of research; b) action research planning, c) participant observation, d) collecting
information through interviews and questionnaires, e) data analysis, f) implementation of
actions, g) photographic record h) evaluation of the results. The research results had an
effective theoretical approach with regard to school, concepts, methodologies and
teaching practice in teaching geography. But, we understand that the teaching practice of
these runs through a hard time, allowing negative effects to the teaching learning
process. Through the workshops, the teachers showed they know the importance of the
application of new methodologies in the teaching process, but that before these problems
arising there is no enforcement.
