Resumen:
It is notorious the importance of isometries, both for the development of mathematics
and to the study of other areas of knowledge. The geometric transformation, especially rotations and reflections, in general, may be used, for example, in the arts to produce certain artistic effects. In our work we seek to explore the isometries of the plan, from the theoretical point of view, where we present their properties and classification, and from a practical point of view, exposing a series of activities and plane geometry problems to be solved if using them properties of these transformations, as well as using as resource GeoGebra software. In addition, we seek to highlight the importance of isometries in both the presentation surfaces isometric to the plane as the characterization of the Real Numbers set as a metric space, which completes the set of Rational Numbers.
