Resumen:
Dimensioning of steel structures when subjected to the fire situation according to NBR 14323/2013. The present work aims to deal with fire safety in buildings. Addressing the main points of the Brazilian standard regarding the subject, NBR 14323/2013 "Design of steel structures and structures of steel and concrete in fire situations", and as its complementary norms, such as NBR 14432/2001 and NBR 5628 / 2001. As a matter of utmost importance while out of reach as an exceptional event, its failure abruptly reduces the strength capacity of sections without the use of passive protections. It is important to use and select according to the building, elements of protection, as determined in this work.
