Résumé:
In a country of continental dimensions such as Brazil, the transport infrastructure sector ends up being a key part of the good development of the economy. In the search for optimized ways to plan and execute works of this area, the BIM methodology emerges as a promising tool, assisting in the entire project cycle, from the conception of design, through execution to its future maintenance, Thus decreasing the time spent, the need for rework, the time spent in each step and etc. In this context, two softwares that use the BIM methodology stand out: Infraworks and AutoCAD Civil 3d. The present work evaluated the use of both programs in the design of the geometric design of a highway, the calculations of superelevation and earthworks and the visibility analysis of the same. Given the results obtained it was possible to observe great potential of the use of Infraworks in the conceptual phase and allied to the civil 3d has greater detailing and production of documentation of the project was possible to determine a great potential of the use of Infraworks in the conceptual phase of the project allied to Civil 3d in the
