Abstract:
The technological advance has led to faster and dynamic human interactions, because of
this and the vast territorial extension of the country, air transport has become the solution
for rapid and safe travel. Being considered the most secure means of transport, air
transport presents several regulations for the physical and operational conditions of an
airport, having as main in the country the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation - RBAC.
In this research the aspects of the airport infrastructure of Campina Grande airport were
studied for its current situation and the projection for the period in which the concession
will be made, using as basis for the study the data from the institutions responsible for the
airport: Infraero and the ANAC, and the study that was used as the basis for the
concession process. The analysis took place according to the critical aircraft operating at
the airport, in the Boeing 737-800. The airport presented some inconsistencies both in the
current situation and in the projection presented, for example, the length of the runway
was less than required for the operation of the design aircraft, thus causing operational
restrictions. There is then as one possible solution to relocate the airport so that it operates
in the ideal conditions due to its territorial restrictions.
