Resumo:
The modal analysis is being used to verify the structure’s integrity and security, representing a
way to identify and locate structural damages. Apparently, not every changing on the dynamic
features comes necessarily from a structural damage. The temperature is an environmental
factor that changes the structure’s pyshical and geometrical properties, which chan change its
hardness and, consequently, the natural vibration frequencies, modal forms and damping.
Therefore, this paper tried to study the influence of the temperature variation on the dynamical
properties of na reinforced concrete intact beam, using the Ansys Student software to execute
its modeling. It’s noticetable with the found results that the temperature causes a minimum
variation on the reinforced concrete beam frequency, that can interfere or not on the damage
detection methods based on the dynamical properties of an structures.
