Memórias submersas: o artivismo revelando os atingidos pela construção da Barragem de Sobradinho - BA.

Abstract

This research makes ab investigation of bibliographic and artistic productions that problematize the socioenvironmental impacts of the construction of the Sobradinho (BA) dam, analyzing the contribution of these works - that we here conceptualize as artivists - to increase the power of voice of those affected by dams. For this, three artistic works were chosen, namely: the fims Dos Que Sobraram das Águas (2009) and Nassadores de Javé (2003), in addition to the song Sobradinho (1977). We start with a literature review, where we apresent a conceptualization of the terms artivism and affected by dams. We also addressed yhe implementation of the Sobradinho dam, to then carry out the analysis of the three selected artistic works, making a convergence between them and articulating with the historical process of building the dam. We consider that the study undertaken allowed a technical and social reflection regarding the responsibility of the civil engineers, so that we can search for alternative solutions in a participatory way, in order to avoid or minimeze the disasters caused by constructions like these.
