Abstract:
In the field of civil engineering, the diversity of software available on the market is growing
every day as a result of constant changes in technologies. The engineer is responsible for
analyzing the structure, the construction system and the technology used. This work addresses
the study of the behavior of massive slabs, using the structural calculation software Eberick and
SAP2000. With the ultimate goal of analyzing structural behaviors, as well as comparing the
results obtained in the two programs and their aspects. Initially, the basic concepts necessary
for carrying out a structural design in reinforced concrete are presented, the construction
systems adopted, the normative concepts, the computer programs, the calculation models used
and the design criteria. Then, the structural launch of the solid slab models was carried out in
Eberick and SAP2000. Subsequently, a comparative analysis of displacements and bending
moments was performed. After the analysis, it was concluded that the slabs in SAP2000
generated lower values when compared to Eberick.
