Résumé:
The crescent urbanization have been strongly contributing to the concentration of people and/or vehicles, and it has been a source of air noise to the buildings. So the enforcement of the comfort, health, privacy and acoustic performance requirements of the walls from residential edifications became indispensable. In this context, the NBR 15.575 (ABNT, 2013) proposes criteria and methods to evaluate the acoustic performance levels of internal and external walls. This paper compared the level difference of sound pressure between ambiences of a house, gotten by using three smartphone apps and comparing these results with the ones gotten by the use of a decibelimeter, in order to check their accuracies and the possibility to indicate one of them to non-technical usage, but that could represent a viable alternative to its users. The results showed that none of them was satisfatory to this purpose. Besides that, it was possible to verify the influence of the layout in which the ambience is organized, as well as the frames, which constitutes barriers and makes the sound transmition easier, respectivily.
