Abstract:
Safety and structural integrity are highly relevant factors in the construction process. With the
consolidated trend of increasingly slim and complex constructions, the importance of
monitoring such factors evolves in the same fashion. In this context, the temperature gains
prominence not only for its harmful effects, but also because it significantly hinders the
monitoring process. Currently, there is a wide dissemination of research with the development
of assisting technologies for this process, such as the application of numerical models based on
the finite element method assisted by software, such as the Ansys Workbench. Due to the
foregoing, this work was carried out in order to develop the analysis of the dynamic properties
of a flat frame under temperatures ranging from 1°C to 40°C. A great similarity was observed
between the variability of the frequencies obtained in the study with those found in similar
works, which highlights the potential and practicality of using numerical models as a tool for
assessing structural integrity.
