Abstract:
This work was developed with the objective of investigating the reading
formation of the 9th grade students and, more specifically, elaborating a Workshop Book that will assist elementary school teachers in the work with this training. For that, a field research was carried out in the 9th grade classes of the state public school of Elementary and Middle School Presidente Geisel. The theoretical apparatus was based on the contributions made by BAMBERGER (1986), CALVINO (2007), COLOMER (2003), (2007), COSSON (2012) (2014), MORORES (1996), MANGUEL (1997), MARTINS (2000), PINHEIRO (2001), among others. The analysis of the data confirmed the hypothesis that the practice of reading for the formation of good readers should not be restricted to reading the texts available in the textbook, adapted and / or fragmented, or to those literatures made available and collected by the school curriculum, but Should expand to the reading of literary texts in full, such as those of children's literature and other books that please the public in question. Thus, it was concluded that the preparation of a work proposal with reading in a relaxed and playful way can arouse the taste for reading, bring about fundamental human changes to the citizen's formation and that the role of the teacher as mediator in this process is of fundamental importance.
