Abstract:
In search of improving the quality of life, favoring the maintenance of health in order to
prevent diseases, people have opted for changes in their eating habits. That
demand increased even more after the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, in which individuals
began to seek and consume healthier foods, such as organic products, with
in order to strengthen the immune system, and consequently reduce the chances of
develop pathologies, such as covid-19. Therefore, the present work aimed to
with the present work to evaluate the incidence of the consumption of organic foods during the
covid-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive-quantitative study, in which it was built
an electronic questionnaire on the google forms platform and applied through social networks,
such as WhatsApp and Instagram, covering questions regarding general aspects of consumption
of organic food. Gender, age, knowledge about food and
organic products, as well as the level of understanding of these products, if there have been changes in
eating habits during the pandemic, in addition to the consumption of organic products in this
period and what motivated this practice. The data were analyzed on the google platform itself.

data analysis, it was found that the majority (74.9%) are female, as well as
most respondents (48.1%) are between 20 and 27 years of age and
know about organic foods (97.5%). Furthermore, most of the respondents
understand these foods as “without pesticides/fertilizers/chemicals/poison/hormone”
(86.1%), however, a large part claimed not to consume organic food during the pandemic
of covid-19 (52.9%). The health benefits of consuming these products
organic was the reason why most people buy it, and a good part of them said

healthier food in the pandemic. In view of this, it is possible to observe that individuals
have sought to change their eating patterns, however, the pandemic and the various
consequences caused by social isolation have had an impact on this, making this
