Résumé:
The valorization of national historical and artistic heritage
through more sustainable socio-economic development are
among the main ways of keeping popular knowledge alive.
The main subjective of this work is elaborate an architectural
proposal, at a preliminary level, of a School of Arts and Crafts
that serves 18 to 25 year olds of both sexes, in the municipality
of Crato (CE), as a mechanism of the preservation of
the knowledge and techniques of handicrafts in the region
through a vocational training school and the development
of manual skills. Through visits and interviews with artisans, as
well as readings about school projects, it was sought to reflect
how the architecture and pedagogical plan can contribute
to the humanization and appreciation of the teaching environment
and the present users.
