Abstract:
The present study aims to investigate, describe and analyze how is the process of teaching and learning in the Natural Sciences and the current situation of the provision of teaching of Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) in the municipal network for education in the city of Cajazeiras, in alto sertão Paraíba. It is proposed to list the perspectives for teacher training and pedagogical practices in the teaching of Natural Sciences. The aim is to present the current state of the process that involves the teaching of natural sciences for Deaf students who are regularly enrolled in the schools of the municipality. In this sense, the questions that guide the research are: in what way has constituted the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences for students who are deaf, in the municipality of education network? Inclusion policies have contributed to improving the supply of pounds for students deaf? What strategies and methodologies for the teaching of Natural Sciences has been shown to be effective in the teaching-learning process? We will use as an instrument of research, questionnaire applied to teachers. As a result it was evidenced that the teaching of traditional way, based only on the expositive, merely vocabulary and descontextualizada tends to disfigure the teaching of Natural Sciences for students/the deaf. Other issues raised were the lack of effective public policies of inclusion, lack of interpreters of pounds in room with deaf students, lack of continued training specifies to work with deaf people and this often results in motivation on the part of teachers to be faced with the deaf in the classroom.
