Resumen:
Globalization and the transformations that have taken place in the organizational sphere, in
recent decades, in the world economic market have reflected in interpersonal relationships in
the workplace, since, eager to reach hierarchical positions/prominent positions, a greater
competitiveness has been perceived among workers within private and public organizations
around the world. This scenario of dispute, individualism and results-based management has
become conducive to troubled work relationships, moral harassment and illness in these
institutions. In the case of public organizations, this scenario is intensified because of the
stability of the civil servant that does not allow dismissals for the particular interests of those
who are hierarchically superior. This work, therefore, had the general objective to carry out a
benchmarking of the best preventive practices related to the confrontation of Moral Harassment
in the work relations of the Universities associated with the PROFIAP Network to suggest
guidelines and adapt to the Institution under study. This research had a quantitative approach
with an exploratory and descriptive characteristic, using bibliographical and documentary
research. In addition, documental support in accordance with the guidelines of the International
and National Bodies, which work on workers' rights and health, being supported by current
legislation. Added to this, a survey was carried out on the official websites of the Universities
associated with the PROFIAP Network, aiming at capturing documents related to the scope of
the research and, consequently, the criterization, ranking and analysis of data based on
benchmarking. The research results were that, almost in their entirety, universities have actions
aimed at moral harassment, but that, in their majority, they are more short-term actions, with a
reduction when more lasting practices are observed, which those with a higher-level complexity
and institutional impact are. The findings allowed the structuring of a preventive action plan to
fight moral harassment at work as an educational product for the Federal University of Campina
Grande.
