Marques de Almeida e CIA: diretrizes para a requalificação do patrimônio industrial.

Abstract

The present work has as object of study the Fabrica Marques de Almeida e CIA, located in the center of the city of Campina Grande, Paraíba, inserted in the Northeast portion of the Brazilian territory. In an eclectic architectural style, the study of the building followed the methodology of historical, urban and architectural research, taking into consideration documents and photos, production and analysis of drafts and plans, as well as the study of the historical and urban context in which building is inserted . With a view to a deeper focus on the industrial heritage of the city, the work seeks redemptions part of the local cotton factory architecture, as well as propose design guidelines for architectural and urban requalification of the work in question.
