Abstract:
This work presents an architectural proposal, at the preliminary level, of a center of socio-educational activities complementary to the public elementary school network in Monteiro/PB. Its specific objectives are: to expand the pedagogical environments available to the municipal network; expand the amount of open areas discovered and in contact with nature available to the municipal network; and adapt the set to the possibility of use as leisure equipment by the local community, outside school hours. To this end, this study is divided into four stages: (i) development of a theoretical framework, where it presents a historical overview of school architecture, approximations between school construction and pedagogy and recommendations and standards of official bodies; (ii) diagnosis of the Monteiro municipal public school system; (iii) references and architectural parameters, where it presents the exemplary solution of the park schools, related projects and the construction of the program to be appropriate for Monteiro; and (iv) the development of the proposal.
