Abstract:
The Portuguese language in Brazil has been taking different aspects, forms, fruits of historical and social changes, since language is a living thing in constant transformation. Thinking about the conventions that the Portuguese language has historically intermediated for the speech of the individual, conventions seen in didactic materials, such as the textbook, for example; this work aims to analyze the phonetic and phonological content of the didactic book of L.P of the 7th year of elementary school, by the authors Willian Roberto Cereja and Thereza Cochar Magalhães. Such an approach is of immense importance to us as teachers of the mother tongue, because it allows us to better understand how certain contents are approached in the textbook. In order to verify these questions, we opted for the bibliographical revision on the subject, taking as basic basis the theoretical presuppositions of authors, such as: BIDERMAN (2002), OLIVEIRA (1999), TEYSSIER (200). As a result of this research, it was possible to understand that the historical evolution of the language now employs new possibilities of approach, understanding and use, considering many aspects, particularities such as regionalism, colloquialism and formal patterns.
