This study aims to examine the representations made about an armed conflict that convulse the State of Paraíba in 1911 and 1912. Focus here, from the theoretical bias of the "Dramatizations of Power", the rebellion led by Augusto Santa Cruz, conflict over the borders of Paraíba, was transformed into one big "theater" in which the role of Santa Cruz down the revolutionary hero to a bloody. The roadmap of this policy piece was exposed by editorial, reports, interviews and manifestos, texts in the newspaper A União and Estado da Parahyba. These texts are highly dramatic, and some intensely metaphorical, in which the pronunciation just seems to be the greatest asset and therefore question the eloquence of these texts, which aimed to raise awareness and impact those who read and that leads us to go the path of politicai speeches immersed in the drama. Shares of Santa Cruz were surrounded by sets of words, the scene we have, therefore, understand how politics is often experienced in the field of pure dramatization. As sources, in addition to those newspapers, the newspaper also use O Norte and some references on the subject, which helped to understand the multiplicity of meanings given to the uprising of Augusto Santa Cruz.
