Resumo:
United anconeal of process is a rare bone disease that primarily affects the joint of dogs large
and medium. Causes lameness, pain in the affected limb, joint effusion, osteoarthritis,
reducing the extent and member of flexion. Its etiology has considerable genetic
characteristics. The animals claudication is present at about 4 to 5 months of age. Occurs by a
failure of ossification process that cause the degeneration and joint inflammation. This study
aims to determine the causes and indicate the choice of the best surgical treatment for
correction of united anconeal process in dogs. After completion of the study, the importance
of early diagnosis in order to select the appropriate surgical technique for healing of nonunion
of anconeal process and return the joint a good return its function.
