Resumo:
Placed in a capitalist context, brazilian cities commonly reproduces inequalities that are manifested in urban space. One of the most expressive forms of this inequality is in the housing provision and,
consequently, in the right to the city. The present work has as objective analyze intraurban inequalities through the habitational view, using as object of study the medium-sized city of Campina Grande. Taking as starting-point the study developed by Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), entitled Intra-urban Typology: Spaces of Socioeconomic Differentiation in Brazilian Urban Concentrations, it methodology is adapted. For that, the methodology developed by Barros Filho (2006) and adapted by Anjos (2013) is used in the application of indicators and elaboration of thematic
maps. Products’ analyses presented aim to promote the debate about cities’ production and management, hoping to contribute to formulation of new housing policies.
