Ultrasonographic evaluation of testes and accessory glands of Quarter Horse stallions in the city of Patos - PB. We analyzed 10 horses breeding Quarter Horses, as the sonographic aspects, they were treated in the large animal sector Veterinary Hospital UFCG, Campus Patos, during the months October 2014 to March 2015. The animals outside submitted and examination of the testes, epididymis and accessory sex glands, Cowper´s gland, prostate and seminal vesicle. We used ultrasound machine Chisson Med Vet 600 for examination in B mode with liner 5MHz transducer for the testicular histogram analysis and Doppler color with a MindrayR with micro convex transducer 5 MHz for external examination and linear transducer for the sexual glands. The evaluation of echo texture and echogenicity to the right and left testicles through the grayscale distribution histogram, where the right testicle was found 70% of homogeneous echo texture, and 70% of low echogenicity, as in the left testicle were 60% of homogeneous echo texture and 70% moderate echogenicity. There was no relationship between homogeneous or heterogeneous echo texture and low or moderate echogenicity, either the right or left.
found that between 20 testicular parenchyma analyzed studs 10, echogenicity showed predominantly hypoechoic moderate in 14 (70%) and low intensity hypoechoic in 06 (30%) and images predominantly homogenous in 14 (70 %) and heterogeneous in 06 (30%) of the total. Assessment of sexual glands appended clearly demonstrates that the use of transrectal ultrasonography provides an interpretation of the structure of said Morphophysiological glands with the diagnosis of morphological changes.
