Casuistry of penile disorders in equines resolved by penectomy at the Veterinary Hospital / CSTR / UFCG, Patos - PB, from 2007 to 2016. This monographic work addresses on fact-finding Group of penile disorders in horses, having as objective to answer relevant questions and occurrences as the essential radical surgical indication for penectomy.To correlate, investigate the penectomy surgical techniques used in different pathological situations in Equidae. Being this effective based on indirect research technique and use of methods of descriptive and interpretative, qualitative approach. Through retrospective survey of clinical data and current investigations, about penile disorders of surgical indication for penectomy in equidae served in the medical clinic of large animals of the HV/CSTR/UFCG, Patos-PB, for the period 2007 to 2016. For the analysis were evaluated adult equidae of different races, age and origin, submitted the food and adverse health and management, according to the findings grouped in accordance with the pathological nature of acometimentos. In this way, the record of 2.790 attendances of equidae, of which 2.399 horses of different breeds, sex and age group, corresponding to 86.0% of the total cases; While, 259 (9.3%) asses both cataloged and 132 (4.7%) mules. Of these episodes, the 33 check (1.18%) instances of penile disorders, 81.8% (acometimentos 27) in horses. Noting that occurrences were prepoderantes, being observed neoplastic eight episodes, with prevalence of malignant Squamous Cell Carcinoma (CCE) in horses (six cases) neutered, of varied age, of whom, two in glânde of the penis. As well as the observation of neoplastic episodes associated CCE and melanona in equine Without Race Set, 17 years of age and, Paraphimosis secondary to melanoma in Muar of unknown age. Being subjected to 569 equine surgical procedures, including 513 interventions in equines (90.0%), 40 asses (7.0%) and us 6 pm mules (3.0%). Being pointed to a more expressive of quantitative checks in 2011 (89 events), of which, 83 interventions in equines. Among these, 12 occurrences of severe penile mordidades, with indication of penectomy. Consisting of seven episodes of neoplasms (58.3%), two occurrences of Paraphimosis (16.8%) and unit acometimentos of preputial traumatic wound infected pythiosis and penile idiopathic paralysis, making a percentage of 8.3% of these enquiries; of these episodes, over ten (8.3%) penectomias interventions in horses and two (17.0%) in mules, totaling 2.1% of surgical cases recorded in the period. In conclusion that under the conditions evaluated, malignant neoplasms are penile disorders of higher occurrence in horses, with relative prevalence in horses castrated, without distinction as to age, with preponderência of squamous cell carcinomas; making up the largest percentage of resolution for penectomy. Without verification of intercurrent or unfavorable sequelae, in these proceedings carried out in the Veterinary Hospital/UFCG.
