Resumo:
Housing projects of social interest, promoted by public programs, such as those carried
out under the Minha Casa Minha Vida should care less favored population with adequate and
quality housing, also ensuring the right to the city. However, case studies about this program
indicated that not reach these goals, due a deficient urban integration of the same and a
consequent segregation of the city. The aim of this study was to analyze the urban design and
urban integration of housing Aluízio Campos located in the city of Campina Grande, PB,
through appreciation tools that articulated references that have been used in similar analyzes.
The results showed that the housing is implanted in an inappropriate location, the urban
boundary, with insufficient amount of equipment, shops and services, surrounded by physical
barriers and conflicting uses with residential. It is noteworthy that the analysis also pointed to
insidewall positive aspects within the habitation. Finally, theses work comes up reflections
about the importance of the location factor and important aspects to consider as the project
improvement.
