This work aims to address radiographically cases of patients with brain injury clinical emergencies resulting from trauma, spinal, thoracic and abdominal, in dogs and cats treated at the Veterinary Hospital of the image UFCG Patos sector, taking into consideration the causes of injuries, race and age of the patients seen in the year 2012. The information collected in the study were obtained from individual records, consisting of clinical examination and laboratory test record. At the request of radiographic examination record, and contain patient information, such as age, sex, race, number of RG and responsible for the solicitation, provides a space for filling the radiographic report (report) prepared solely by the resident doctor or preceptor professor of diagnostic imaging HV sector. A total of 2746 chips raised dogs and cats treated at HV in the year 2012, 818 underwent the imaging industry, where we managed to get the amount of records in 56 cases of clinical emergencies involving traumatic brain injury, spinal, thoracic and abdominal, and relevant data on the causes of injury, race, age and sex of patients, as well as the number and causes of deaths. This work formed the basis for identifying and quantifying the major disorders of traumatic origin, through radiographic approach in dogs and cats undergoing screening clinical care of the HV in 2012, aiming to increase the efficiency of critical care patients, since this can mean the difference between life and death of the animal, to shorten the waiting time until the first emergency measures.
