The present work refers to a metallic shed with variation of parameters such as type of truss, materials and profiles used. As a base model, a two-fall shed with a latticed roof with sloping upper chords and straight lower chords was adopted, closed on the sides and open at the front and back. For that, the VisualVentos software was used to determine the wind action and the AutoMETAL software to design the truss elements. The trusses were evaluated for cases in which they were completely constituted by single U-profiles and for cases in which the U-profile was used in the chords, while in the diagonals and uprights double opposite angles were adopted. Regarding the material, A36 steel and SAE 1010 steel were evaluated. In all cases, the Warren truss had the lowest consumption of steel than the Pratt and Howe trusses, the latter being the one with the worst result. It was also verified a better performance in terms of weight of Warren trusses formed entirely by cold-formed A36 U-type steel profiles.
