Résumé:
To summarize the main studies on the influence of uric acid on nephropathy
in children and adolescents.METHODS:This research is an integrative review,
being guided by the question: “What is the relationship between hyperuricemia and the development of
nephropathy in children with diabetes mellitus?”. Performed in the databases
Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), National Library of Medicine (PubMed),
Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature
Analysisand Retrieval System Online(MEDLINE) and Scopus.Prisma is used to
search organization. RESULTS: Final sample composed of 11 articles, of which the
most were Chinese, cross-sectional studies published in the last 2 years. 11
manuscripts emphasized the association between higher uric acid levels and
elevated glomerular filtration. CONCLUSION: The findings of the exposed authors present a
direct link between increased uric acid, and the development of diabetic nephropathy.
