Resumo:
The present study had for objectives to evaluate the reproductive characteristics, as well as
to do the classification andrological for points (CAP) of 110 bulls of the race Guzerá with
age varying from 19 to 60 months created in the Experimental Station of EMEPA in
Alagoinha - PB, in the period from 2002 to 2008. The animals were separate in three
different groups: G1 = 19 to 32 months; G2 = 33 to 46 months and G3 = 47 to 60 months.
The Average ± Standard Mistake obtained for the perimeter escrotal (cm), length of the left
testicle (cm) and length of the right testicle (cm) in the groups G1, G2 and G3 were,
30,57±0,47; 9,41±0,17; 9,39±0,17, 33,73±0,39; 10,55±0,18; 10,69±0,22, and 35,00±1,43;
11,11±0,45; 11,11±0,45, respectively. For the semen’ characteristics: concentration
espermática (106/cm3), turbilhonamento (1-5), mobility (%), vigor (1-5), and total defects
(%), of the three groups, respectively, it was observed for Average ± Standard Mistake the
following values 171,288±40,068; 2,49±0,20; 59,80±2,92; 2,55±0,16; 16,12±1,32,
213,214±50,931; 2,21±0,20; 65,34±2,26; 2,54±0,15; 12,37±0,96, and 118,750±18,806;
3,00±0,41; 67,22±4,01; 3,11±0,39; 14±4,01. Of the 110 studied bulls, 92 were submitted to
CAP resulting in 73 capable, 3 questionable, 9 immature and 7 inapt. It could be concluded
with this study that there were variations in the values analyzed for the testicular biometric
and seminal parameters under effect of the age group. CAP came efficient with
relationship to the evaluation andrological of bulls of the race Guzerá, consisting of a
dynamic tool for selection of reproducers.
