Resumo:
The goats have an important role in the social and economic development of the
Brazilian Northeastern. During the period of lack of food, the producers use concentrate
in exaggerated levels or inadequate food for the animal alimentation, contributing to
appear digestive troubles. In the Veterinary Hospital of UFCG, the digestive troubles
are frequent in goats. The ruminal fluid transference (fauna transference) is important in
the treatment of these affections and the study of the viability of this ruminal fluid after
the collect from the animal is essential, as that is difficult to obtain it, so its utilization
becomes limited in the Veterinary Hospital. This work propose to evaluate the physical,
chemical and biological parameters of the ruminal fluid collected in butchery to identify
the longest time in which it can be used to make the reposition of physiological
microorganisms of the goats rumen. The fluid ruminal collect was done in the public
butchery of Patos city. Were analyzed the physical, chemical and microbiological
characteristics. There was registered no significant physical alteration during the
experimental period, the methylene blue reduction occurred until 36 hours after the
collect and the infusorians were identified until 36 hours in the dry period and 24 hours
in the rainy period. The obtained results demonstrated that the ruminal fluid from goats
is viable to make fauna transference during 24 hours in the dry period and 36 hours in
the rainy period. Plastic lidded recipients are good options for storage. Posterior
researches should be realized to evaluate if the use of storage ruminal fluid in animals
alive is satisfactory.
