Abstract:
The objective of this work, to survey the sample of Actinobacillosis in ruminants sector
Ambulatory Clinic for Large Animal Veterinary Hospital, UFCG, Patos Campus - PB,
specifying the species, and clinical history of the animal as well as treatments previously
performed , deaths, and treatment from April 2005 to July 2010 in order to present the
incidence and its possible relationship to disease. Were treated during this period 436
goats, 368 sheep and 613 cattle were found nine cases confirmed by histopathology as
positive for all Actinobacillosis in cattle. Most animals brought to the Veterinary Hospital
had not been consulted by any professional, and arrived there because the owners feared
carcinoma and were afraid the rest of the herd acquiring the disease, the treatment that
followed is a routine for the HV the same is made the basis of oxytetracycline and sodium
iodide, all animals treated during this period and were discharged with confirmed cases.
