Clinical and biochemical serum parameters of Leopardus tigrinus kept in captivity, submitted to neuroleptoanalgesia with dexmedetomidine, midazolam and pethidine. This study was to evaluate a protocol neuroleptoanalgesia, electrocardiogram and blood biochemistry of cats, the small wild (Leopardus tigrinus) held in captivity in the state of Paraiba. The protocol used (0.025 mg / kg of dexmedetomidine associated with 0.2 mg / kg midazolam and 3mg/kg of pethidine intramuscularly) showed average latency time of 6.28 minutes (± 4.35), period of anesthetic time 64.78 minutes (± 8.17), average payback period of 68.05 minutes (± 29.03). The protocol allowed the tracheal tubing and the animals showed good miorelaxamento. With the electrocardiographic analysis were obtained: heart rate = 117.61 bpm (± 14.12); Wave P = 0.08 mV (± 0.01) and 42.28 ms (± 4.72), PR = Segment 72.87 ms (± 5.03); Segment QRS = 46.47 ms (± 5.27); Wave R = 0.74 mV (± 0.09); Segment RR = 502.09 ms (± 90.07) positive T wave. In the analysis of blood biochemistry showed: ALT = 49.25 (± 29.55), AST = 73 (± 27.29), FA = 53.5 (± 15, 83), creatinine = 0.525 (± 0,21), Urea = 70 (± 10.83), Total Protein = 7.25 (± 0.68), albumin = 2.58 (± 0.298) Calcium = 9.775 (± 0.51), Phosphorus = 7,4 (± 0.82). The animals were clinically well. The protocol presented short period of latency, small volume to be administred per animal, safety good relaxation and the possibility of tracheal intubation. The electrocardiographic values found are similar to those described in the literature. The values of ALT, ALP, total protein, albumin and calcium are within the reference values adopted. AST, even when dealing with animals in captivity, were increased and may be associated with factors of stress or muscle activity. The high values of urea accompanied by low levels of creatinine suggest a high protein diet, since the clinical examination was not detected signs of dehydration and non-domestic species do have larger values in relation to domestic species. Low levels of creatinine may be associated with small amount of muscle mass. Phosphorus levels are also high and suggested a diet rich in phosphorus.
