Resumo:
Treatment of wounds in horses (Equus caballus) - case survey at the Veterinary Hospital of CSTR / UFCG / Patos Campus - PB. This paper aims to review the issue by addressin the clinical aspects of wound healing, healing complications and the main forms of treatment, helping, the professional from the initial management of the wound until complete tissue repair. Due to the high incidence of skin lesions in horses registered in the Veterinary Hospital of CSTR/UFCG/Campus de Patos – PB in the period 2006 to 2010, and the fact that approach of wounds in equines is related to the routine of professionals specialized in this kind was a survey of the number of patients through the medical records of the file from HV, and compared and discussed before the results obtainedin the literature. It was concluded that the most frequent types of wounds in equines in semi-arid of Paraíba are Pythiosis, Habronemiasis, Lacereted, Punctured and Granulomatous.
