Résumé:
Objective: To investigate the forms of communication between nurses and users of the
Primary health care for notification of bad news before the exam
cytopathological. Method: This is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach,
carried out within the scope of Primary Health Care, with 08 nurses from the
Family Health in the municipality of Cuité in the State of Paraíba. The sample was delimited
using the data saturation technique. For data collection, we performed
semi-structured interview. In the analysis, the technique of Analysis of
Content, in thematic mode. Results: Three thematic categories were formed,
Feelings that communicate - the moment of breaking bad news and the posture
of the nurse in the face of the users' emotions; Insecurity and fear as a reflection of the
nurses' despair to communicate bad news in the face of cervical cancer;
The primary health care nurse and the technical and strategic capacity to
communication of bad news regarding cervical cancer. Conclusions: From
from the research data it is possible to perceive the difficulty of communicating bad news
of nursing professionals in primary health care, especially
related to lack of security, nervousness and impotence related to unpreparedness
professional. It is evident the need for educational actions and even greater
preparation during the academic training of nursing professionals for the
communication of bad news in all health services, especially in the
basic.
