Résumé:
The challenges faced by deaf students in face-to-face and remote teaching: a review of the
literature, can be understood as the absence of interpreters of Brazilian Sign Language
in educational institutions, and inefficiency in inclusion. The objective of this study is to carry out
a literature review based on materials published in the last 2 years on the
theme, focusing on remote teaching. For this review, a search was performed for articles,
books, monographs and articles from websites in the Google Scholar and Google databases
Chrome. The searches took place in February 2022, and the keywords used
in the search were: remote teaching for deaf students + teaching for deaf students at
pandemic. According to the findings in the literature, the results obtained in the studies
demonstrate that in addition to the challenges that existed before the pandemic, new
challenges or those that already existed, have worsened. Thus, it can be concluded that many
are the challenges in education for deaf students in Brazil, the inclusion of these still
needs adaptations to have improvements in educational institutions, because,
regardless of their needs, everyone is entitled to an education of
quality.
