Résumé:
All discourses given by social subjects present an intentionality and this is one of the main characteristics of communication. In this direction, this research aims to analyze the manipulation strategies perceived in the core of the human trafficking of the telenovela Salve Jorge, by Glória Perez, as a proposal for thematic debate in a 3rd year high school class. To achieve our goal, we first investigated important concepts for discursive semiotics, based on the ideas of authors such as Greimas and Courtés (1979), Fiorin (2000), Lima (2007), Lima Arrais (2011); then, we watched, by the streaming platform Globoplay, and we analyzed the cutout of five chapters of Gloria Perez work, entitled Salve Jorge, displaying and classifying the manipulation strategies present in the discourse of the core of human trafficking, in whose analysis we aggregate the realization of applicable debate in a class of 3rd year of high school. This is research centered on the analysis of discourse in the semiotic field. As a universe of this research, the telenovela Salve Jorge stands out, from which we select chapters 1, 2, 29, 129 and 169 as the basis. As results of this investigation, we point out the manipulation strategies classified as seduction, temptation, intimidation and
provocation, which constitute the discourses delivered and identified in the scenes of the chapters analyzed, of whose subjects intended to manipulate the victims so that they would accept the idea that possible employment abroad would solve the financial problems, but the discursive intentions were intertwined in illegality, since the manipulated subjects were trafficked.
