Use of geotechnologies in mapping the afforestation of the Bivar Olinto neighborhood in the city of Patos - PB. The city of Patos has a dry climate with low humidity of the air due to the fast it is inserted in the caatinga biome in the hinterland depression, which causes serious damage to health as damage to the respiratory tract. Knowing that afforestation is a strong ally in thermal comfort, reducing the incidence of solar rays under the surface and providing an increase in humidity in the environment, it sought to know the incidence of vegetation from images derived from drones, using the Bivar Olinto neighborhood as sample. Heat maps were created in the QGIS software, in relation to the number of trees present in the area, transforming all the tree compound visualized in the image in points and relating them with a possible thermal comfort from the mapping of the area, the green area present in the neighborhood was calculated, reporting a low vegetation index by area and number of inhabitants. The soil surface temperatures were collected using 3 types of shading under 3 types of soil tissue. We noticed that although the surface temperature of the soil was lower in points with a high vegetation index, thus producing greater thermal comfort to the inhabitants, there is still great arboreal fragility in the neighborhood and neglect in relation of the inhabitants to the vegetative component.
