Extrato de alho na redução da incidência de Aspergilus niger em sementes de Caesalpinia ferrea Mart.

Abstract

Garlic extract in reducing the incidence of Aspergillus niger in seeds of Caesalpinia ferrea Mart. With the purpose to evaluate the effect of the treatment with extract Allium sativum (garlic) in the reduction of the incidence of Aspergillus niger in seeds of the Caesalpinia ferrea (jucá), was lead in laboratory an experiment related with the health of the seeds. In this experiment the seeds had received the following treatments, Witness (barren T1-water); Treatment 2 (T2 - 30% of extract of garlic and 70% of barren water); Treatment 3 (T3 - 50% of extract of garlic and 50% of barren water); Treatment (T4 - 70% of extract of garlic and 30% of barren 4 water) and Treatment 5 (T5 - 100% of pure extract of garlic), where they had been placed in plates of Petri with 8 cm of diameter I contend, tree sheets of filter paper (Blotter test) moistened with sterile distilled water and incubadas in 27 ambient temperature ± 1° C with fotoperíodo of 12 hours. The results showed that the use of extract of A. sativum (garlic) reduces the incidence of A. niger seeds of C. ferrea (Jucá). Its efficiency increases with higher concentrações de extract used.
