Resumen:
The tooth autotransplantation is a surgical procedure that aims to use dental
elements of own individual for replacement of teeth that have been lost or have
become unviable in the oral cavity. This work aims to discuss the peculiarities of the
procedure, as well as their indications and contraindications, and report a clinical
case of autotransplantation of the second premolar on the right side, which was
impacted in a male patient of 19 years of age. The patient was attended at the
School of Dentistry of the Campina Grande Federal University, and was
accompanied by approximately eighteen months without signs or symptoms of
complications.
