Reabilitação protética de dente posterior com coroa metalocerâmica e retentor intrarradicular: relato de caso.

Abstract

Dentistry seeks solutions for the rehabilitation of endodontically treated elements that are usually fragile, due to their loss of structure through caries, and through the endodontic procedure, which makes this remnant more fragile. If in some cases the need to use intraradicular pins is required, prefabricated pins gain space in these cases due to their easy and quick use, low cost and no need for lab making, reinforcing the dental structure and promoting an ideal rehabilitation . The patient presented a dental element with endodontic treatment, which after fracture of the coronary restoration presented without structure, reporting insecurity and dissatisfaction with dental aesthetics and functionality. The aim of this study was to describe the rehabilitation procedure in dental prosthesis of a metaloceramic crown on a glass fiber pin, in a number 14 element, highlighting the materials used and the technique of making, from the disembedding of the channel of choice to insertion of the pin, confection of the core in composite resin until the installation of the metalceramic crown. In the clinical case described the use of fiberglass pin is presented as a material of greater strength and an ideal retention in the interior of the channel, through its excellent fixation with resin cements. The use of intraradicular retainers becomes essential in the rehabilitation treatment in elements whose remnant is compromised by the loss of dental structure.
