Abstract

Entrepreneurship is considered a powerful strategy for economic and social development, as it has a high capacity to generate employment and income, improving living conditions for the population. For this reason, entrepreneurial activity is currently placed as a priority in political, economic and academic debates, due to its strength that drives economies. In this sense, this research sought to analyze the entrepreneurial dynamics of the city of Itabaiana-PB. Thus, the study was developed through a qualitative research, the methodology used is exploratory descriptive and data collection was carried out through semistructured interviews applied to 9 entrepreneurs from the municipality of Itabaiana-PB, which were analyzed based on the content analysis. The survey results showed that personal fulfillment and unemployment have a great influence on individuals' decision to undertake. It is noted that entrepreneurs have a high level of entrepreneurial mindset, intensifying the entrepreneurial spirit and generating development for the municipality. However, it is necessary to offer entrepreneurs greater support, whether in the ease of access to credit, or continuous and quality entrepreneurial training, so that entrepreneurs are able to increasingly elevate the entrepreneurial dynamics and deliver business to the municipality. consolidated and durable.
