Résumé:
Granuloma gravidarum: the case of two clinical cases. Pregnancy granuloma is the name given to a pyogenic granuloma that occurs in 5% of pregnant women and is related to increased estrogen and progesterone levels with the progression of pregnancy. It is a non-neoplastic, benign, tumor-like growth common in the oral cavity mucosa. The aim of this paper is to report two cases of pregnant granuloma and the treatment employed for these patients. The first case is a female patient, 18 years old, farmer, 20-week-old pregnant woman, who had a nodular lesion in the lower lip. The second case is a 26-year-old female patient, a merchant, a 38-week-old pregnant woman, who had a lesion on the posterior tongue. After surgical removal in the two cases mentioned above, the pieces were sent for histopathological analysis and the clinical diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma was confirmed. The patients are well after months of follow-up. Thus, it is important to strengthen the knowledge of pyogenic granuloma by the dentist, as it is a common lesion, especially in pregnant women and surgical removal is the most appropriate treatment, respecting the patient's health condition and making the necessary clinical follow-up.
