Resumo:
Benign vascular lesions consist of a group of alterations present in the blood vessels,
originating from cell proliferation, atypical structural architecture of a vessel or dilation
over time. Among the most common of these lesions are hemangiomas, vascular
malformations and varicose veins. Until then there are several modalities of
treatment for these lesions, including surgical excision, cryotherapy, radiotherapy,
laser therapy, embolization and sclerotherapy. The objective of this work is to report
the use of sclerotherapy with Monoethanolamine oleate at 5%-Ethamolin® in the
treatment of four cases of vascular lesions in the oral cavity of patients attended at
the UFCG Dental School clinic. Applications of 0.5 Ml were performed, 1.5 ml of
sclerosing agent foam 5% Ethanolamine (Ethamolin®) intralesional using an
hypodermic syringe. Total regression was observed in all lesions. It can be observed
that sclerotherapy of vascular lesions was an excellent therapeutic alternative in
cases reported with low morbidity, good aesthetics and rapid solution.
