Resumen:
Cannabis Sativa, popularly known as "marijuana" is one of the most consumed drugs in the world. The herb has therapeutic and toxic assets and its use can cause changes in the user's oral cavity, such as inflammation in the oral epithelium. The present study aims to report a clinical case of a male patient, feoderm, 24 years old, daily user of Cannabis Sativa, with a leukoplastic lesion on the dorsum of the tongue. Excision of the lesion was performed, followed by histopathological analysis, which allowed the final diagnosis of mild epithelial dysplasia to be established. The use of Cannabis Sativa is associated with the emergence of potentially malignant lesions in the oral cavity, thus alerting health professionals, especially dentists, to the awareness and monitoring of users.
