Résumé:
This case report describes the clinical approach of a horizontal dental fracture in
the middle third of the root of a right upper central incisor. The procedures that
were proposed for the dental element were the use of the semi-rigid
containment for stabilization of the fragment, endodontic treatment being
performed the mechanical chemical preparation with RECIPROC instrument
(R50) in element 21 and with Hedstroem files (HD140) in the upper right incisor,
with monthly exchanges of calcium hydroxide over an average period of more
than one year. In addition to the fractured element, the endodontic treatment of
element 21 was performed, responding positively to the proposed treatment,
without obvious endodontic repercussions. It can be concluded that the
treatment established so far was well indicated for the case, since it can be
observed the beginning of a reconstruction between the fragments and both
elements, they remain without internal or external resorptions.
