Résumé:
Evaluation of the degree of satisfaction of patients undergoing bichectomy. The bichectomy is the procedure of removal of the adipose body of the cheek, being a esthetic-functional surgery. Objective: to perform an evaluation of the level of patient satisfaction before and after the result of the removal of the cheek fat removal surgery. Methodology: The sample consisted of 32 patients attended at the Surgery Clinic of the Federal University of Campina Grande from March to May 2019, who met the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The inferential analysis was based on Fisher's exact test and Wilcoxon, with the margin of error used in the statistical test decision was 5%, with p value < 0,005. Results: 78,1% of the patients were female and 65.6% were 27 years old or less. In the postoperative period, it was found that the majority were extremely satisfied with the results obtained (43.8%) and indicated that the procedure was performed for other people (87.5%) and, if necessary, repeated the procedure (90,6%). Conclusion: Bichectomy is a surgical-aesthetic-functional procedure capable of improving the quality of patient satisfaction, preferably performed by young patients, and the female is the most prevalent.
