Resumo:
The monographic work entitled "The importance of recreational and experimental activities in the
teaching of physics at the Educational Center for Youth and Adults (CEJA)", presents as an object of
study to analyze the role of the educator in the development of learning from the experimental use, as
well as contribute to improving the quality of science teaching at the Educational Center for Youth and
Adults (CEJA), located at Rua Antero Torreão s/n, São José dos Cordeiros - Paraíba, it is a school
intended only for teaching the EJA modality, for which it has its own headquarters and works in the
afternoon and night shifts. Regarding the methodology used in this study, it can be said that this is a
descriptive, explanatory research study, which had the participation of students from the 1st, 2nd and
3rd year of that school. For the research, a questionnaire with objective and subjective questions was
used as an instrument of analysis. The form was distributed to the students, where it was explained
how it should be filled out. After data collection, it was possible to observe that the students accept the
idea and the fact that the use of experiments in the classroom contributes a lot to their learning, in
addition to making the classes more dynamic and participatory, allowing a better interaction between
them. student and teacher and, consequently, arousing greater student interest in the class. However, it
is concluded that the teacher can make use of low-cost materials to carry out certain experiments in the
classroom, without the need to have a specific laboratory, or greater expenses, given that the materials
of low cost are simple, cheap and easy to acquire. Therefore, they enable students to understand that
science is everywhere, especially in our daily lives.
