Resumo:
Given the changes that have taken place in society, in which uncertainties and dynamism cause
continuous changes in stakeholder requirements, project tools with a fixed scope cannot keep up with
some of the social demands. Thus, the needs of the market accompanied this inconsistency, requiring
more agile methodological approaches to develop projects, which would become a channel for
adaptation. Due to the changes in requirements during the project, Scrum emerged as an alternative,
becoming a solution used by many companies, especially in Information Technology. However, the lack of
an adequate structure for implementing agile methodologies in research and development environments
caused a need for customization in Scrum practices. This study analyzed whether the applied changes are
in accordance with the Scrum methodology values in computer's research and development projects at
the Federal University of Campina Grande, by obtaining descriptive, quantitative and qualitative data
through direct contact with the situation target, questionnaires with collaborators and VOC (Consumer
Voice). Most of the projects have a hierarchical structure and did not carry out all the Scrum ceremonies,
creating difficulties in self-management and rework.
