Résumé:
Basketball is a sport that generates a lot of data and statistics
during the game and even throughout the life of a high-level
player. Each year, countless young players are hired by big teams
under the promise of being the next star of the franchise. With the
availability of this data on the Internet, the interest in knowing
more about how a player's numbers can tell and predict his
success on the court arose. In this context, this work intends to
create an interactive website, using data from the American
basketball league (NBA), to create comparisons between the
numbers of promising youngsters, in their first two years in the
league, and the initiation years of today's big stars. These
comparisons will be based on the main statistics for each role on
the court, namely: average points per game, assists, rebounds,
percentage of shots converted. From these comparisons, we will
be able to analyze how similar the profile of each novice player is
with that of big stars such as Lebron James and Kevin Durant.
