Resumen:
This work aims to evaluate the performance of some database solutions applied to the storage of
time series data in the context of an energy efficiency support system. In this evaluation we
experimentally compared two systems: MariaDB and InfluxDB. MariaDB is a general purpose
database, and InfluxDB is a specific database for time series data. The results obtained in our
experiments indicate that MariaDB, even not being specific for time series, is able to supply the
demands, presenting a superior performance than InfluxDB.
