Abstract:
Impact of didactic workshops on the curricular training of future Biology Teachers. The workshops represent a pedagogical approach teamwork characterized by collective construction of knowledge, analysis of reality and the conflict of ideas. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of the workshops teaching usage in the disciplines of Cellular and Molecular Biology (CMB), Molecular Genetics (MG) and Genetic and Evolutionary Process Biological Conservation (GEPBC) and related disciplines: Microbiology (MI), Instrumentation for Teaching Biology (ITB), Methodology for Teaching Science and Biology (MTSB), Stage Supervised I, II and III (SSI, SSII and SSIII), all of the Plan Teaching Course (PTC) degree in Biological Sciences (BS) of UFCG/ CSTR. It is noteworthy that they are subjects PTC where practice falls as a curricular component. The study was through structured interview. The sample space consisted of 68 students enrolled in course of BS UFCG/CSTR. It also notes the consultation conducted disciplines, as well as those correlated with the area domain knowledge, in the transcripts of students through the term commitment. We found that 53% of interviewed students had never participated in a workshop teaching against only 47%. About 68% of surveyed students saw reflection of contents learned in courses, with the administration of workshops, related disciplines. The total number of interviewed students from the course teachers who act as teacher in BS makes 35% and 84% of that number of surveyedstudents had used the approaches learned in the workshops in their classrooms. Approximately 90% of students from BS who act as teachers answered that workshops teaching helped significantly in the marks of their students. Marks of students enrolled in classes where workshops were offered showed statistically significant differences (p <0.05, test Dunn's). The use of educational workshops in the disciplines allowed BS UFCG/CSTR students to discover the importance of using new teaching strategies.
